World’s DRI production up 7.3% in CY’19 – MIDREX

As per the recent data by MIDREX, world’s total DRI production during CY’19 recorded 108 mn t, increased by 7.3% y-o-y, the fourth consecutive record year. The growth was primarily driven by the increase in coal-based DRI in India, the high capacity utilization of existing and new gas-based plants in Iran, and the ramp up of Tosyali’s Plant in Algeria.
