In Iran, many DRI plant projects including Pasargad’s 1.5 mn t pa MIDREX plant project and six other projects with a total capacity of 7.55 mn t are at various stages of execution. Apart, Algerian Qatari Steel (AQS) in Algeria and Cleveland-Cliffs in the USA will add 4.4 mn t of capacity in CY21.
