Vizag steel issues another export tender for 110,000 MT Billet/Bloom, after receiving cold response in its last tender which closed in the last week of June.
Vizag steel, India’s leading steelmaker, has floated a global tender for export of various Steel products. The company is offering about 156,000 MT of Steel products for export during August’15. Material will be delivered till 30 Sep’15 FoB Visakhapatnam or Gangavaram Port on direct export basis. The quantities offered for blooms & billets are 80,000 MT & 30,000 MT respectively.
This time the company has introduced 10,000 MT cast rounds in this export tender.

Quotations should be given in USD or INR. Deadline for submission of bids will be till 12 Aug’15 at 15.00 hrs and technical bids will open on the same day at 15.30 hrs.
Global Billet Prices
Billet prices in global market continue to remain under pressure. Russian mills have cut their offers to around USD 325/MT FOB Black Sea, which were 340/MT FOB in the first week of July.
45,000 MT billets/slabs were exported from India in July (till 20th). Out of which 35,500 MT have been exported to Ethopia (Africa). Cargo was heard to have booked by Tata International from Vizag Steel through tender process, at USD 400-405/MT FOB for small size (65*65mm).
In a recent tender, Vizag Steel failed to get bids for smaller size billets, however, for bigger size (150*150mm) billets it was concluded at USD 330-335/MT FOB Vizag Port.
