Vizag Steel, India’s state owned steel maker, had floated an export tender of 11,000 MT billet of size 90*90 mm for Nepal (by rake), which closed on 20th Jan’17.
According to market sources, company has managed to sell only 7,000 MT billet out of 11,000 MT at around USD 405/MT on ex-plant basis with the freight charge around USD 65-70/MT.
As per the delivery schedule, Vizag steel will deliver the billet till 15 Mar’17.
Last tender by Vizag steel for export of 11,000 MT billet to Nepal was concluded at USD 395-396/MT on ex-plant basis, in the month of Dec’16.
