Vizag steel had floated an export tender for 20,000 MT bloom (150*150 mm) and 10,000 MT billet (90*90 mm), which expired on 19th Jan 2017 for February and March loading respectively.
According to market sources, company managed to receive bid around USD 400/MT FOB Vizag port (India east coast).
150*150 mm bloom receives bid from 2 participants and bids were at around 396-398/MT FOB Vizag Port. Where as 90*90 mm billet fetched highest bid above USD 400/MT FOB Vizag Port.
Last tender by Vizag Steel for 25,000 MT blooms (150 *150 mm) and 10,000 MT billets (90*90 mm), which expired on 15 Nov’16 for December shipment concluded at USD 383/MT, FOB Vizag Port.
The tender attracted 6 participants. For, 25,000 MT blooms (150*150 mm) lot, the tender has been concluded at USD 383/MT, FoB Vizag Port. The other lot of 10,000 MT billet (90*90 mm) attracted 2 participants. The highest bid received was at USD 382.2/MT, FoB Vizag Port followed by second highest at USD 381/MT, FoB Vizag Port.
Chinese Billet Offers
Chinese billet export offers are hovering at USD 400-410/MT FOB, Chinese Main Port for Q235 grade. Prices have been volatile in last few weeks. Over all buying sentiments remain weak from South East Asian countries. People are waiting for waiting for markets to take direction, which is expected post Chinese new year.
