Hoa Phat Group – a leading steelmaker in Vietnam, has recorded the highest ever monthly crude steel production at 670,000 t in Jan’21, up 67% y-o-y against Jan’20. HRC output saw the strongest growth, reaching 252,000 t, up 48% m-o-m against Dec’20. According to the steelmaker, the operation of No.4 blast furnace at Hoa Phat Dung Complex, has officially raised its crude steel capacity to 8 mn t pa. It is expecting to achieve an annual output of 2.7 mn t HRC, and over 5 mn t construction steel and billet in this fiscal.
