Indonesia’s Dexin Steel has fired up its No.2 blast furnace of 1,780 cubic meter at Morowali Industrial Park, Central Sulawesi on 03 Feb. The furnace was originally planned to be launched in May’20 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. With the launch of this furnace, the company’s overall crude steel production capacity has reached 3.5 mn t pa. Dexin Steel aims to raise its annual crude steel capacity from 3.5 mn t to 6 mn t by end-CY’22 and to reach 20 mn t by CY’24.
