Vietnam: Ferrous scrap imports fall 24% m-o-m in Sep’20

Vietnam ferrous scrap imports declined by 24% and stood at 0.46 mn t in Sep’20 as against 0.62 mn t in Aug’20, according to data maintained with SteelMint. Japan remained the largest exporter to Vietnam, however volumes fell by 9% in Sep’20. The decrease in import volumes was due to the slowdown in purchases on increasing offers in end July-early Aug’20.
