Indian sponge iron export offers plunged by $5-10/t in recent deals, as per SteelMint’s weekly assessment. The fresh export offers are learned at $290-295/t CPT Benapole, equivalent to $300-305/t CFR Chittagong, Bangladesh. About 5,000 t deals have been reported on the same price range by a couple of Kolkata based exporters. As per them, Bangladeshi mills resumed buying after this slight fall in price range as there is less expectation of further drop in offers.
