Vale’s nickel production drops over 5%, y-o-y, in Q1 2022

Brazilian miner Vale produced 45,800 t of nickel in the first quarter, down 5.4% from the previous year, as per SteelDaily. On the other hand, nickel production of Glencore, the world’s third largest nickel mining company, increased significantly. According to Glencore’s latest production trend report, Glencore’s nickel production in the first quarter of 2022 was recorded 30,700 t, up 21.8% from the same period last year.
