USA: Steel billet imports fall 28%, m-o-m, in Jul’22

USA’s steel billet imports fell by 28% m-o-m in Jul’22 to 287,654 t from 398,842 t in June, as per data recently released by customs.
Brazil was the largest exporter with 178,229 t, followed by Mexico with 62,840 t.
Import volumes fell by 29% to 2.29 mnt y-o-y in Jan-Jul’22 as against 3.25 mnt in the year-ago period.
