USA: Pig iron imports drop 26%, m-o-m, in July

USA’s pig iron imports fell by 26% m-o-m in Jul’22 to 415,783 t from 565,575 t in June, as per data recently released by customs.
Brazil was the major exporter with 356,308 t, followed by Ukraine with 32,216 t.
Import volumes decreased by 22% to 2.85 mnt y-o-y in Jan-Jul’22 as against 3.64 mnt in the year-ago period.
