As per the latest custom data USA (Unites States of America) flat steel imports which includes 7208 (HR coils/Plates),7209 (CR coils) and 7225 (electrical sheets) have witnessed a marginal decline of 3.2 % M-o-M from 0.61 MnT in Sept’16 to 0.59 MnT in Oct’16.
On yearly basis, country’s flat steel imports have fallen by 11%, in Oct’16 at 0.59 MnT against Oct’15 at 0.66 MnT.
During the first ten months (Jan-Oct) of 2016 the country’s flat steel imports recorded at 6.21 MnT, down by 22.3% against corresponding time frame of previous year.
In Oct’16, the major flat steel importing countries for USA were China and Turkey followed by South Korea, Vietnam and Netherlands.
