According to USA customs data, USA flat steel exports which includes (7208 HR coils/Plates,7209 CR coils, 7210, 7212 GP/GC and 7225 electrical sheets reported growth of 17%,M-o-M basis at 0.49 MnT in Aug’17 in contrast to 0.42 MnT in Jul’17.
On yearly basis, nation’s flat steel exports surged significantly by 20% in Aug’17 against Aug’16. Last year USA flat steel exports stood at 0.41 MnT.
In the time span of Jan-Aug’17 nation’s flat steel exports surged by 24% to 3.76 MnT against 3.04 MnT in similar time-span of 2016.

Mexico was the major flat steel importer from USA – Mexico was the major flat steel importer from USA and has procured 46.83% of share during the period of Jan-Aug’17.Other countries include Canada with 46.45% of share and 0.97% of share was of India.
However in the month of Aug’17 USA has exported 0.24 MnT of flat steel to Mexico and Canada at 0.22 MnT .
