As per US customs data, USA flat steel which includes (7208 – HR coils/Plates,7209 – CR coils, 7210, 7212 GP/GC and 7225 electrical sheets) have registered an increase of 3 % to 0.37 MnT in Nov’16 against Oct’16. In Oct’16 the same stood at 0.36 MnT.
On yearly basis, USA flat steel exports reported increase of 6% in Nov’16 as compared to previous year. In Nov’15 the nation’s flat steel exports stood at 0.35 MnT.
During the time frame of Jan-Nov’2016, USA flat steel exports witnessed the downfall of 12% to 4.22 MnT against 4.8 MnT in similar time-frame of previous year.
Grade wise Flat Steel Exports from USA
Out of total flat steel exports, 7208 exported 1,43,716/MT in Nov’16’ surged 14%, M-o-M against 1,25,771/MT in Oct’16.Whereas exports of 7209,7225,7212 remained stable from past two months. Although, exports of grade 7210 fell by 12% to 86,871/ MT in Nov’16 against last month.

Major Flat steel importers from USA in Nov’16
In Nov’16, Mexico and Canada stood as the foremost buyer and procured 0.17 MnT flat steel individually. Other major buyers were India, China and Bangladesh.
