USA: Coking coal exports rise 36% m-o-m, in Feb’22

US coking coal exports in Feb’22 was recorded at 3.63 mnt, up 36% m-o-m and 8% y-o-y. The increase in shipments is attributed to the increase in exports to India, which rose by 139% m-o-m to 0.83 mnt. Exports to India increased amid supply concerns from Australia, CoalMint notes. US exports to Brazil also increased by 28% on the month to 0.5 mnt.
