USA: Steel billets imports fall 38%, m-o-m, in Feb’22

Steel billets imports by the USA fell significantly by 38.29% in Feb’22 to 0.30 mnt compared to 0.49 mnt in Jan, as per data recently released by customs.
Brazil was the largest exporter at 0.20 mnt, followed by Mexico at 0.07 mnt.
However, import volumes rose by 28% y-o-y to reach 0.79 mnt as against 0.62 mnt in Jan-Feb’21.
