US: RMDAS ferrous scrap index sees recovery m-o-m in Dec’22

The Raw Material Data Aggregation Service (RMDAS) ferrous scrap price index increased m-o-m in Dec’22 before the winter holidays.
The average price of shredded scrap stood at $393/t in Nov’22, up by $26/t m-o-m, prompt industrial composite scrap at $388/t, up by $31/t, and the HMS index at $326/t, up by $19/t.
The index tracks US spot market prices of steel mills and foundries.
