Ukraine’s leading steel company – Metinvest Group has recently revamped its 1700 Hot Strip Mill installed at Ilyich Iron and Steel Works. The new mill is designed to produce 2.5 mn t pa hot-rolled coils (HRC) of 1.2-16 mm thickness, up to 1,550 mm width and weighing up to 32 tonnes. Metinvest has increased its order portfolio and expanded its market presence in Europe, Turkey, and the Gulf countries after the revamp of the mill.
