Ukraine: Four coal mines suspend operation after missile attack

Ukraine’s four coal mines in Kryvyi Rih suspended operations for indefinite period on 10 Oct after the Russian missile strike on the city. Ukraine is largely dependent on coal for power and heat production. Ukraine’s coal stock fell to 2 mnt as of 30 Sep, down from 2.2 mnt. It plans to stock 2.5 mnt coal before heating season begins in the nation.
