Turkiye: Steel billet imports fall over 25%, m-o-m, in July

Turkiye’s steel billet imports fell by 27.28% m-o-m in Jul’22 to 332,773 t from 457,618 t in Jun, as per customs data.
Russia was the major exporter at 213,466 t in the month under review.
Import volumes dropped by 13% to 2.72 mnt y-o-y in Jan-Jul’22 as against 3.13 mnt in the year-ago period.
