Turkiye: Imported scrap market heats up as prices soar in recent deals

Turkiye’s scrap market saw multiple confirmed deals at $375-394/t CFR, against $360-376/t last week. Offers rose $5-6/t over the past 3-4 days, with fresh US offers reaching $390/t, while workable levels were at over $380/t CFR.

• US-origin to Mediterranean-based mill: 30,000-t HMS 95:5 at $394/t and shredded at $399/t.
• UK-origin to Aegean-based mill: HMS 80:20 at $375/t.
• Baltic-origin to Aegean-based mill: HMS 80:20 at $375/t.
