Turkiye: Ferrous scrap imports fall by 15% y-o-y in CY’22

Turkiye’s total ferrous scrap imports were recorded at 20.65 mnt in CY’22, down by 15% as compared to 24.37 mnt in CY’21, as per SteelMint’s data.
USA was the largest supplier at 3.95 mnt, followed by the Netherlands at 2.08 mnt and the UK at 1.81 mnt.
Turkiye imported 1.26 mnt of ferrous scrap in Dec’22, a decrease of 5% m-o-m as compared to 1.33 mnt in Nov’22.
