Ferrous scrap import prices to Turkey have increased slightly in a recent deal, sources informed SteelMint. Prices have moved up by $2-3/t, as per reports. A Baltic-origin bulk cargo was recently booked by an East Marmara-based steel mill. The cargo comprised both HMS 1&2 (80:20) as well as shredded and bonus scrap. While the heavy melting scrap (HMS) was sold at $500/t CFR, the shredded and bonus material fetched $515/t CFR, sources confirmed.
