China: Iron ore spot prices rangebound amid rising steel prices

The spot price of iron ore (Fe 62%) fines inched up by $0.60/t to $222/t CFR China on 6 Jul’21. Rising steel prices and easing output curbs in Tangshan seem to be supporting spot iron ore prices. Iron ore futures on the Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE), on the other hand, remained rangebound with a slight uptick of RMB 6/t d-o-d on 6 Jul.
