Turkey Pig Iron Import Down by 50% in Jul’16

Turkey, the world’s third largest Pig iron importer has imported 0.05 MnT Pig iron in Jul’16 according to trade statistics released by Turkey customs.

Turkey Pig iron imports have registered a downfall of 50% M-o-M in Jul’16 against 0.10 MnT in Jun’16. On similar lines, imports were down by 62% Y-o-Y against 0.13 MnT in Jul’15.

In the first seven months of 2016, the country’s imports were registered at 0.66 MnT, up by 1.5% as compared to 0.65 MnT in the same time period prior this year.

Country’s imports majority of Pig iron from Ukraine, Russia and Brazil. In Jul’16, imports from Ukraine has registered at 0.04 MnT and from Russia it was 0.01 MnT.
