Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) in its issued notification of 26 Sept’16, recommended name of Mr. Narendra Kumar Nanda for the post of Chairman & Managing Director of NMDC.
As part of the selection process, six persons were interviewed, including three officials of the public sector iron ore miner (NMDC), Mr. Malay Chatterjee (KIOCL), Mr. Kalyan Maity (SAIL) and Mr. Gopal Singh (Central Coalfields).
Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser to the Union Ministry of Steel Bharathi S.Sihag has been holding additonal charge as the CMD of the company since Jan’16. Company’s previous CMD Mr. Narendra Kothari retired on 31 Dec’15.
Iron ore price revision for the upcoming month may get deferred amid appointments.
