Flat steel imports by Turkish mills witnessed a drop of around 7% on the month to 0.71 mn t in Oct’21 versus 0.77 mn t in Sept, SteelMint data reveals. However, in Jan-Oct’21, import volumes jumped 23% to 7.43 mn t compared with 6.02 mn t in the same period last year.
Major imports came from Russia (0.18 mn t), Ukraine (0.11 mn t) and China (0.12 mn t) in Oct.
