Turkey: Flat steel exports plunge 41%, m-o-m, in Jan’22

Flat steel exports by Turkey stood at 0.49 million tonnes (mnt) in Jan’22, down 41% as against 0.83 mnt a month ago. Annually, exports grew by 9% as against 0.45 mnt in Jan’21. Egypt, the USA, Italy and Iraq were the major importing countries in Jan. HRC and plates comprised the bulk of exports at 0.15 mnt, followed by galvanised steel at 0.12 mnt.
