Finish Long Steel Exports from Turkey increased in Aug 2018, as per data retained by SteelMint. The export has moved up in line with improved demand from Yemen for re-developing which kept the nation there to evolve procurement in Aug’18.
As per the custom data, the nation has exported about 0.77 MnT Finish long steel in Aug’18 against 0.68 MnT in Jul’18, surge by 13.23% M-o-M. In line Y-o-Y basis, exports have been increased by 48% against 0.52 MnT in Aug’17.
Under Finish Long commodities following HS Codes has been considered – Bar & Rod (HS Code 7213 & 7214), MS Wire (HS Code 7217) along with Angle & Shapes (HS Code 7215 & 7216).
Sub-Commodity Wise – Rebar occupied major share in exports and was reported at 0.67 MnT in Aug’18 against 0.54 MnT in Jul’18; up by 24% followed by Structure at 0.08 MnT in Aug’18 against 0.12 MnT in Jul’18; slump by 33.34% and lastly Wire rod at 0.02 MnT in Aug’18 which is firm on M-o-M basis.
Country Wise – In Aug’18, the major exports of Finish Long Steel registered to Yemen – 0.14 MnT, drifted up by 100% against 0.07 MnT in Jul’18 followed by Israel – 0.08 MnT up by 14.28% against 0.07 MnT in Jul’18 and Romania stood at 0.05 MnT increased by 67% against 0.03 MnT in Jul’18.
