US is the biggest importer of steel in the list of top 10 steel importing countries (including semis) in Jan-Sept’21 at 17.6 million tonnes (mn t), up by 36% y-o-y. Germany is the second biggest importer of steel at 12 mnt, up by 4% y-o-y. Turkey is on third position with 11.1 mn t of steel imports, up by 27% y-o-y.
