India’s sponge iron exports down by 7% in first 8 months CY’21. Bangladesh leads the India’s sponge iron buyers list, as India exported 0.26 million tonnes (mn t) sponge iron to Bangladesh, up by 13% y-o-y. Nepal is the second-largest buyer of Indian sponge iron at 0.14 mn t, up 35% y-o-y. Exports of the material to Bhutan slipped by 79% y-o-y at 0.02 mn t.
