Tokyo Steel reduces scrap purchase price by JPY 1000/t  (US$ 13)

Tokyo Steel
Manufacturing Co,
Japan's
largest electric steelmaker,
has reduced scrap purchase prices again by US$ 13/MT (JPY
1,000/MT) at its all 5 plants, effective from June 7. 

The company continues to
cut the scrap prices since June and the total price correction has amount to US$
40/MT.

After the correction,
the purchase prices for HMS 2 reach US$ 321-352/MT (JPY 25,500-28,000/MT).

Following are the current purchase price
(plant wise) for HMS 2 (Unit: JPY/MT):

Okayama: 27,500 (US$ 346/MT)

Kyushu: 27,500-28,000 (US$ 346-352/MT )

Takamatsu: 25,500 (US$ 321/MT)

Tahara: 27,500 (US$ 346/MT)

Utsunomiya: 27,000 (US$ 340/MT)
