Thailand: Ferrous scrap imports increase by 14% m-o-m in Jan’23

Thailand’s ferrous scrap imports stood at 130,217 t in Jan’23, increasing by 14% m-o-m as against 114,492 t in Dec’22.
The US was the largest exporter at 29,113 t followed by Australia at 11,947 t and Japan at 9,667 t.
However, scrap imports by the country dropped marginally by 3% y-o-y compared to 134,352 t in Jan’22.
