Thailand: Ferrous scrap imports edge up by 15%, m-o-m, in Mar’22

Thailand’s ferrous scrap imports edged up to 0.15 mnt in March 2022 against 0.13 mnt in February, as per customs data maintained with SteelMint.
Myanmar emerged as the top exporter at 20,662 t, followed by Australia and USA with 13,254 t and 12,810 t, respectively.
On a y-o-y basis too, scrap imports increased by 25% from 0.12 mnt in March 2021.
