Taiwan: Tsingshan raises export offers to Taiwan, pressuring local stainless steel mills

Indonesia’s Tsingshan has raised stainless steel export offers to Taiwan by another $30/t on 12 May, taking cumulative hikes to $60/t since early May amid elevated nickel ore and NPI costs. Market participants said effective increases reached nearly $95/t after discount revisions. Rising import costs are expected to push Taiwan mills toward sharper June price hikes despite cautious market sentiment.
