Taiwan: Steel billets imports rise by 27% m-o-m in Jan’23

Taiwan’s steel billets imports increased by 27% m-o-m to 216,790 t in Jan’23 from 170,342 t in Dec’22, as per data recently released by customs.
Russia was the largest exporter at 107,190 t, followed by Japan at 78,254 t.
On a y-o-y basis, import volumes decreased by 15.4% as against 256,403 t in Jan’22.
