The world’s sixth largest iron ore exporter Sweden has exported 2.24 MnT iron ore in Oct’16, according to the trade statistics released by Sweden customs.
Iron ore exports have witnessed an increase of 19.79% M-o-M as it was 1.87 MnT in Sep’16. On the similar lines, Sweden iron ore exports moved up with the equal proportion of 19.79% Y-o-Y as it was 1.87 MnT in Oct’15.
During the first ten months of 2016, the country exported 19.22 MnT iron ore, up 17% Y-o-Y as it was 16.43 MnT in the same period prior to this year.
The non-agglomerated iron ore (lumps and fines) export in Oct’16 was registered at 0.42 MnT, slightly up 22.37% M-o-M and 12.45% Y-o-Y. On similar lines, the agglomerated ore (pellets and concentrates) export was registered at 1.82 MnT, up 19% M-o-M and 19.3% Y-o-Y.
