“Raipur Structure prices have gone down by Rs. 200-300/MT and the fall in prices is expected to continue for about a week or so. Buying
has weakened on account of rise in excise duty which has increased steel prices by
Rs.800. Trading prices for 40 Angle is Rs. 37,500/MT (Ex works) in Raipur,” said
a trader from Raipur.
“Structure
prices in Hyderabad has also fallen and are expected to be unchanged due to the power cut
situation in South. There might not be much of buying because market will be on
a festive holiday for the entire week. Moreover, offers from Raipur Structure market is quite cheaper and that is why the demand has moved out. 40 Angle trading prices
is hovering around Rs. 40,000/MT (Basic prices) in Hyderabad,” reported a Hyderabad based
trader.
“The market demand
for Structure in Durgapur is quite low and is expected to fall down further.
Trading volumes are thin as buyers are running out of funds due to March end.
40 Angle is being offered at Rs. 44,000/MT (Prices including all) in Durgapur,” remarks
a manufacturer from Durgapur.
