Structure Offers Continue to Boom in Week-10

Domestic structure prices remained on positive side across the major markets as Indian structure offers have increased by INR 1,300/MT W-o-W.

Raw material offers have been supporting structure market, simultaneously small scale manufacturer have reported mix demand of structure.

It is heard from the sources that Raipur small scale manufacturer are offering discount of INR 600-800/MT on trade of bulk quantities in heavy structure due to low off-take. Heavy structure offers have moved up by INR 300/MT. However, light structure offers moved down by INR 500/MT W-o-W.

By now, major price hike is seen in Ghaziabad by INR 1,300/MT followed by Durgapur and Ahmedabad by INR 1,000/MT and INR 900/MT respectively.

South market, especially Hyderabad has witnessed price hike of INR 1,000/MT W-o-W for all grade structure, including channel and beam.

Following sharp improvement in billet and ingot offers has led to rise in prices of finish long. Offers for 125×125 mm billet have been increased by INR 1,000/MT across major market and hovering at the range of INR 23,800-27,800/MT W-o-W.

Intervening, 200×75 mm channel offers are evaluated in Durgapur at INR 30,000/MT, Ghaziabad at INR 34,400/MT, Ahmedabad at INR 30,700/MT, Mumbai at INR 31,600/MT and in Raipur at INR 29,500/MT.

Likewise, heavy 200×100 mm beam is being offered in Durgapur at INR 30,000/MT, Ghaziabad at INR 33,900/MT, Ahmedabad at INR 30,500/MT, Mumbai at INR 32,200/MT and in Raipur at INR 29,000/MT.

Presently, 40×40 mm angle offers are assessed in Durgapur at INR 30,500/MT, Ahmedabad at INR 30,000/MT, Mumbai at INR 30,900/MT, Raipur at INR 27,900/MT and in Hyderabad at INR 31,000/MT.
