Benchmark sponge iron (P-DRI) prices remained unchanged today at INR 26,000/t exw Raipur (central India), on improved trades. SteelMint confirmed a total of 6,000 t deals at the price range of INR 25,700-26,100/t. Local trades reported at INR 25,700-26,000/t exw, while deals from outside were concluded at INR 26,000-26,100/t on FoR Raipur basis. As per sponge manufacturers, prices may increase by INR 100-200/t owing to active billet demand.
