SAIL-Bokaro Steel Plant held an auction for 2,000 t of steel grade pig iron on 15 Sep’22. The auction closed without a single bid. The base price for the auction was INR 44,000/t exw.SteelMint’s daily sponge iron, CDRI, index was assessed at INR 34,750/tonne (t) (=) exw-Rourkela on 15 September, 2022. About 3,100 t of transactions were recorded on 15 September as against 4,120 t on 14 September. The index remained steady on moderate demand and with manufacturers firming up their offers.SteelMint’s daily steel billet index was assessed at INR 48,100/tonne (t) (+ INR 100/t) exw-Raipur on 15 September, 2022. Spot billet transactions fell to about 2,800 t on 15 September as against 3,250 t on 14 September.
