SteelMint’s bi-weekly domestic pellet (Fe 63%) index, PELLEX, stood at INR 8,400/tonne (t) DAP Raipur on 11 October, 2022, up INR 100/t compared to the last assessment on 7 October. The index edged up due to the marginal hike in pellet offers from outside Raipur.
SteelMint’s daily sponge iron, CDRI, index was assessed at INR 34,000/tonne (t) (- INR 100) exw-Rourkela on 11 October, 2022. The ongoing price volatility turned market participants cautious, which ultimately led to limited enquiries. The index, as a result, slipped d-o-d.
