During the first two months of the current Iranian year (20 Mar’20- 20 May’20), steel production of major Iranian mills has registered a y-o-y increase of 1.45% to reach 8.17 mn t, Iranian Steel Producers Association’s latest report shows. With 3.18 mn t of steel (1.46 mn t finished and 1.71 mn t semi-finished) production, Mobarakeh Steel Company stood as Iran’s largest steel producer.
Despite the COVID-19 outbreak, the semi-finished steel production of few companies have witnessed positive growth when compared with the corresponding period of the last Iranian year.
