“Steel mills in Bangladesh look to purchase Billet from South Korea, that is being offered in the range of $580-590/MT CFR Chittagong, Bangladesh”, said local sources.
“There are offers for Billet from Indian exporters at around $600-610/MT CFR.
But, we prefer to buy the semi finished product from South Korea as it is of better quality and of lower price, standing in the range of $580-590/MT CFR.” shared a Bangladesh based steel mill owner.
Exporters in India remarked, “We are expecting to fetch an equivalent value in the domestic market and that most of us are not concentrating on concluding deals with international buyers as of now”.
