Steel inventories at Chinese mills fall 2.8%, m-o-m, in Aug’21 – CISA

Data provided by China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) shows that inventory at key steel enterprises in China at the end of Aug’21 stood at 13.42 mn t, a decrease of a little over 1.5 mn t or 10.09% from the previous 10-day period in Aug. Alternatively, steel inventories have decreased by 386,500 t or, 2.8%, m-o-m but have increased 1.8 mn t, or 15.54%, compared to the beginning of the year. On the other hand, inventories have gone up 1.05 mn t, or 8.55%, y-o-y.
