Spot Iron ore prices remain firm with Indian fines Fe 63.5% at $148-149/MT CnF China, primarily due to low availability of iron ore and improved demand.Though Chinese markets will be closed next week on account of New Year, it is likely to stay strong post holidays, said a trader based in Shanghai.
There were few deals concluded this week, specially for low grade from west coast of India.”We sold a cargo of Fe 57/56 at $113.5/MT CnF China from Goa, said a large Indian exporter based in Mumbai.
Whereas, few other deals of grade Fe 54 fines were sold at $107.5/MT CnF and one cargo of Fe 61 at around $133 CnF China.
