South Korean mills book Japanese scrap

South Korea-based steel mills have booked bulk Japanese H2 scrap cargo, SteelMint learned from its credible sources. Hyundai and Dongkuk Steel have booked around 70,000-80,000 t of bulk H2 at JPY 50,000/t* FoB level, similar to its last week’s bid. Strong global scrap prices and increased bids in Japanese monthly scrap export tender had lifted Japanese scrap prices. *corrected from JPY 50,000-60,000/t to JPY 50,000/t.
