Brazilian steelmaker Usiminas has awarded Danieli Corus with a contract for the replacement of BOF Convertor-5 of BOF Shop No.2 at their 4.8 mn t pa Ipatinga Integrated steelworks. This contract is a repeat order after the contract for the replacement of BOF Convertor-4 in 2018. The new 180-t convertor is scheduled to be launched in 2023.
