South Korea: Scrap imports fall by over 25%, m-o-m, in Jan’22

South Korea’s ferrous scrap imports stood at 0.31 mn t in Jan’22, a decrease of 26% as against 0.42 mn t in Dec.
However, on a yearly basis, imports jumped 63% from 0.19 mn t in Jan’21.
Japan remained the largest supplier of scrap with 0.2 mn t followed by the USA and Russia with 40,000 t and 30,000 t, respectively.
